EC Sportz AFL Academy is the owner and operator of the Academy. South-West Sydney AFL Academy — Powered by EC Sportz is its regional program, bringing together committed players, families and community members from across South West Sydney, Campbelltown, Macarthur, Wollongong, the Illawarra and South Coast.
Backed by decades of playing, coaching and professional experience, we provide junior AFL development through AFL skills training, strength and conditioning, player pathways and school holiday programs. Structured training, mentoring and individual support help boys and girls become their best—on and off the field—while growing AFL throughout our regions.
Players from every club are welcome. You do not need to play for the South West Sydney Blues to join the Academy.

Girls train in a positive, high-standard academy environment designed to build skill, speed, confidence and game awareness—whether they are new to AFL or pursuing representative pathways.

South WestA named state-level pathway within the Academy journey, supporting eligible players progressing toward stronger representative and senior football opportunities.
Players may pursue senior opportunities through the Sydney Football League pathway—now administered as AFL Sydney, including Premier Division—and, where ability, eligibility and relocation align, the VFL or WAFL.
Strong performers may progress through representative programs, under-age talent competitions and invitation-only testing toward draft or rookie consideration.
Further information regarding the Sydney Football League pathway, player points structure and club eligibility will be added as the relevant competition framework and Academy guidance are finalised.

The EC Sportz AFL Academy is an independent player development academy designed to improve the standard of AFL across the Illawarra, South Coast and South West Sydney. You do not need to play for the South West Sydney Blues to join. We welcome players from every AFL club and every level of experience.
Every athlete is encouraged to keep supporting their own local club while receiving additional academy coaching, athletic development and positive mentoring.
